Over the last few months, Per Diem has grown quickly across customers, product surface area, revenue, and team size. We are now expanding our product team to help us move even faster and build the next generation of tools for merchants.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Product Manager to join our growing product team.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to work close to the founders, engineering, design, sales, support, and our customers. You’ll help turn customer pain points, market opportunities, and company strategy into clear product requirements and shipped features.

You’ll work across core areas of the Per Diem platform, including mobile apps, web ordering, merchant dashboards, loyalty, marketing automation, AI workflows, and POS integrations.

This is not a slow corporate PM role. You’ll be expected to move fast, think clearly, communicate well, and help the team ship products that customers actually use and love.

What You’ll Do

Own product areas across mobile apps, web ordering, merchant tools, and AI-powered workflows.

Translate customer needs, sales feedback, support requests, and market insights into clear product requirements.

Write clear PRDs, tickets, specs, and launch plans.

Partner closely with engineering, design, QA, sales, marketing, and customer success.

Drive roadmap planning, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment.

Help decide what we build, why we build it, and how we measure success.

Work directly with merchants to understand their workflows, pain points, and opportunities.

Support go-to-market planning, product positioning, onboarding, and feature rollouts.

Own the full product lifecycle: discovery, requirements, execution, QA, launch, feedback, and iteration.

Help improve how product is built at Per Diem as the company scales.

Collaborate with leadership on the next generation of AI automation for local businesses.

Who You Are

You have 3–6 years of product management experience.

You have experience working on SaaS, mobile apps, marketplaces, e-commerce, POS, restaurant tech, marketing automation, or similar products.

You are highly organized and can manage multiple product areas at once.

You communicate clearly with engineers, designers, sales, support, and customers.

You know how to turn messy feedback into clear priorities.

You are comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.

You care about outcomes, not just process.

You can write clear product requirements and make smart tradeoffs.

You have strong product instincts and a customer-first mindset.

You are not afraid to get into the details, test the product, review edge cases, and make sure the final experience is great.

You want ownership, speed, and impact.

Bonus Points

Experience with AI or automation products.

Experience with POS systems, restaurant tech, retail tech, or e-commerce.

Experience with mobile apps or web ordering platforms.

Experience with marketing automation, loyalty, or customer engagement tools.

Experience working with distributed teams.

Technical background or strong ability to work closely with engineers.

Experience in a YC-backed or fast-growing startup.
