Product Updates: Item Reviews, Meta Tracking, and Consumer Fees

This release focuses on giving you more control over customer feedback, marketing performance, and pricing. It also improves how menus are managed and how product information shows up across web and app.

Item reviews now available

Customers can now leave ratings and reviews on individual items.

You can enable this from the dashboard, and reviews will appear directly on your storefront. This gives you visibility into what’s working on your menu and helps build trust with customers through real feedback.

Meta tracking now supported end to end

Meta Conversions API is now integrated across app and web ordering.

Orders and purchase events can now be tracked more accurately, which improves how campaigns perform and lets you retarget customers who have already ordered.

More flexible consumer fees

You now have more control over how consumer fees are applied.

Fees can be adjusted based on time of day and day of week, giving you more flexibility in how you structure pricing across different demand periods.

Smarter notifications for new customers

New signup activity is now easier to track and act on.

You can filter customers by signup date, export data, and trigger marketing events for newly signed up users. This makes it easier to run targeted campaigns for first time customers.

Menu management updates

Menus are easier to manage and control.

You can now reorder categories more easily, control item level visibility, and get clearer alerts around scheduling and availability. These updates help keep menus clean and accurate without extra effort.

Better product descriptions and images

Product details now display more cleanly across app and web.

Customers can expand longer descriptions with a “show more” option, and item level images now display more clearly. This helps customers make better decisions while ordering.

Subscription analytics updates

Subscription analytics have been refined for better clarity in the dashboard.

Data is easier to read and navigate, making it simpler to track performance.

Website builder improvements

Updates to the website builder improve how marketing pages are created and managed.

The AI setup flow has been refined, landing page capabilities have been expanded, and image delivery now runs through a CDN for better performance. These changes move closer to a fully flexible, Square integrated website experience.
