Customers can now start a shared Group Order from the mobile app. The host creates a session and shares a link or QR code — participants browse the menu and add their own items, then the host reviews the full cart and checks out for everyone. Fully integrated with web ordering as well.
Merchants can now configure modifier options that have their own sub-options (e.g., selecting "Salt" prompts Low / Medium / High). Set up in Square and auto-synced to mobile and web ordering. Eliminates the need to duplicate modifiers for each variation and gives customers more precise customization.
A new merchant checkout preference controls whether customer payment cards are saved automatically. When enabled, customers see an opt-in checkbox ("Save card for future purchases") instead of having their card stored by default. Off by default — existing behavior unchanged unless toggled on from the Merchant Dashboard.
Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager tracking is now supported for restaurant and coffee shops across mobile app and web ordering. Gives merchants more accurate purchase conversion data for Meta advertising campaigns.
