Product Updates: Meta Tracking, Google Pay, and Catering Improvements

This release focuses on improving checkout flexibility, strengthening loyalty and coupon handling, and making catering and delivery workflows more reliable across app, web, and dashboard.

Meta tracking now supported across app and dashboard

Meta / Facebook Pixel tracking is now supported across mobile apps and the dashboard.

This improves purchase tracking across app and web ordering and gives merchants more accurate conversion data for Meta advertising campaigns.

Google Pay now available in mobile checkout

Customers can now check out with Google Pay in the mobile app.

This creates a faster checkout experience and gives customers another payment option during ordering.

Catering workflows and ordering improvements

Catering flows have been cleaned up and made more consistent across the platform.

This release improves how catering behaves across ordering and dashboard experiences, removes unnecessary steps, and improves reminder email handling. Catering orders also now behave more predictably alongside group ordering and pay-at-table flows.

Loyalty and coupon handling updates

Square loyalty and coupon systems now support more advanced use cases.

Loyalty programs now work better across franchise setups and category-based reward programs. Coupon handling has also been tightened with per-customer redemption limits and more accurate order-level discount application.

These changes improve reliability for promotions and repeat customer programs.

Reviews and “Order Again” improvements

The ordering experience now includes better review and reorder flows.

Customers can now see review prompts after orders, review messaging works across multiple languages, and the “Order Again” experience has been updated for better visibility and usability.

Delivery and tip handling updates

Delivery operations are more reliable across both in-house and third-party delivery.

In-house delivery tips now distribute correctly by percentage, fallback handling for missing tips has been improved, and delivery errors are handled more cleanly during checkout and order processing.

Menu and category control

Merchants now have more control over menu organization.

Category ordering can now be locked to preserve menu structure and ordering across the customer experience.

Store credit and pricing safeguards

Store credit handling has been refined across checkout and dashboard flows.

This includes better handling for custom store credit setups, improved tier limit enforcement, and updated pricing behavior across merchant tools.

Time slots and scheduling updates

Scheduling logic for catering and future orders is now more consistent.

Buffer support has been expanded in the time slots system, improving how prep and ordering windows behave.

Notifications and customer communication

Push notifications and customer messaging have been updated across the dashboard.

The push notification experience now includes refreshed designs and clearer confirmation steps before sending campaigns.

Ordering and storefront improvements

Several updates improve stability and usability across web ordering and mobile.

This includes cleaner product displays, improved modal behavior, better banner visibility handling, and fixes for item truncation and image handling.

Security and platform updates

Platform security and reliability continue to improve across web and dashboard systems.

This release includes framework security upgrades, better handling of unexpected ordering issues, and broader reliability improvements across the ordering infrastructure.
